I just had a collections agency contact me about a debt I had over 15 years ago saying that I owe them 11 thousand the original debt was only 600$ shouldn't it be wiped off my credit because its over 15 years old?

Yes but does this restart the clock by acknowledging the debt? In Ontario if you don’t answer the phone or acknowledge it once your delinquent the clock starts and they can’t sue after 2 years.
