If you hold it on a milling machine(semi automatic) center off the center of the job diameter then machine square or you could also just use a dividing head and And divide the number of sides you want with the dividing plate simple and effective

the only issue with that is if you have tight parallelism tolerance, the flat surface is not exactly flat
