So my chihuahuha did this as well but he had a collapsed trachea. They both are very similar sounding. Mine was determined by x-ray. Glad they’re is a fix for your baby! 💕

It could be a collapsed trachea sounds like it to me but wouldn’t hurt to push for an x ray to rule out congestive heart failure. It unfortunately very common in little dogs I lost my soul dog that way she was also a chihuahua

My 14 year-old Chihuahua is dealing with congestive heart failure right now. I found out seven years ago that she had a heart murmur. Sending you lots of prayers and hugs.

Thank you so much for posting this❤️my 11 year old dog does & had no idea! Just thought it was little coughs here & there but soon realized he does it every day! We will be heading to the vet soon!

My baby had chf and did this and sounded like she was choking sometimes, like a cough. I had to choose euthanasia. July 3rd I woke up and she was struggling to breathe. I made the decision to not let her suffer. Her birthday was yesterday. She would have been 14 years old. 🥺

My aunts Pomeranian sounded like this too he had heart failure as well but we thought the cough was due to his collapsed trachea🥺I didn’t know heart failure could cause the cough ❤️🩹
