@chrisedu_: Federal Polytechnic Oko Students Displaced as Off-Campus Hostel Collapses in Anambra More than 50 students of Federal Polytechnic Oko have reportedly been left homeless after an off-campus hostel building collapsed in Amaokpala, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State. According to reports, the incident occurred at Elite Five Stars Hostel, located along the Amaokpala Old Road. Witnesses said the building showed signs of distress, prompting an alert that allowed occupants to evacuate before the structure gave way. Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident. However, one student reportedly sustained injuries and was rescued safely. As of this morning, many of the displaced students were seen outside the collapsed hostel, struggling to find temporary shelter after losing their accommodation. The collapse has left the affected students in urgent need of assistance as they seek alternative places to stay. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the cause of the collapse, while concerned residents and students have called for support for those affected.
