I want to have sex, but I have the absolute hardest time initiating it. I feel like a pervert if I touch him first. I can’t get over that feeling.

You truly are an inspiration to so many people out there. I was 7 years old when I was SA’d by another child in my class. Obviously I didn’t have a clue at the time what he was doing and why. He also did it to another girl say on the other side of him. It happened whilst he was under a large hexagon shaped table, where the teacher thought he was picking something up. Then my brother and sister on separate occasions around the same age decided to give it a go aswell. Took me many many years to get through it. AND then a couple of years ago, a prisoner who I was in consultation with SA’d me. Thankfully it was caught on CCTV, which flood all interview rooms. He got 3 years because the sentence included an offence to a 15 yr old child. My employer didn’t offer any support as they said that it could put them in a bad light as I was there to support prisoners. I am now no longer able to work because of my MH, so took early retirement and actually I’m enjoying it. 2021 was the year I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and from that date until now, all the tools I was given to deal with my emotions were ripped away from me. Being prodded and poked numerous times in my intimate area by strangers set me back. That’s it for me now, but I’m ok with that. I’m 54 and no longer have any contact with anyone in my family x

I get a mixture of almost too much desire for it, I think almost to a hypersexual degree, then I get really turned off for ages in my head and I don’t know why.

It’s hard because your body always remembers how you felt even when its a different person, different situation. It may take many attempts and thats okay and for me, once I replaced all those bad feelings with good feelings then it eventually turned into something I wanted rather than dreaded. You really do need it to be with the right person and if the person isn’t patient or understanding then they are not the right person. As someone who gets in their own head, I would break it down as things were progressing and ask myself am I okay with that? Do I need to do this a little longer so I am more comfortable? Do I need to stop? Etc..don’t push yourself if you’re not comfortable

your body keeps the score, so your body will naturally go into fight or flight and tense up quite a bit. for me CPTSD really contributed to my experience. it took me quite a few years before I could be relatively comfortable with intimacy due to SA & ra*pe (even done by my ex). communication, consent and openness had to be cemented before I considered doing anything intimate with someone nee after those experiences.

Hey mel, I absolutely love your videos, they are so inspiring and have helped me alot with my mindset towards my home life. I was just wondering if you could make a video about your advice on how to help someone who is not in the position to move out of home just yet, I have a hard home life with my parents and at this point I am not able to move out yet but I would love some advice on what I can do at home to make it just a little easier to cope. I think you are amazing and your platform has helped so many people. Keep being you❤️

For me sex felt like a no go to start with but once I was confident enough I managed to do it but it ended up being excruciatingly painful for me. I don't know if it was due to abuse that happened to me as a child or maybe due to my sensory issues. Even when I'm "calm and ready" makes no difference. I feel like I'm just a failure. I know it sounds dumb but yeah.

I wish I found your TikTok’s sooner. I didn’t go on any dates for over 2 years because the first kinda of intimacy with a guy he touched me inappropriately without consent and I didn’t know how to say stop after he asked if it was ok. Sadly that was the first date I ever went on, I have since been on a couple dates and I fear I found the loml who is also from Yorkshire. The right person will come it just took me a while to gain his trust but he listened to my story ♥️

sweety I'm going to take a guess that the reason he hates when you say he is so wonderful for how he responded to you is because he knows his behaviour with you is only what you and any woman should expect from a decent human being the only reason you feel otherwise is because of how you have been treated by others and that probably makes him so sad that you feel like you owe him anything.
