Honestly. I'm not saying that what this guy is saying is wrong. However what he is describing is roughly how russian and Ukrainian offensives looked in 2023-2024. Nowadays even a single vechicle is at an enormous risk about 30 seconds from the moment it begins the attack, often before it even comes into contact with the enemy line. Matter of fact even vehicles behind the frontline fall victim to drones literally all the time, it's safer on foot. And the trench is different too. Nowadays they're basically empty except for a handful of guys. Because trenches are static positions they are an incredibly easy target for drones. So literally putting less meat in the trench results in less casualties. And you don't need a lot anyway nowadays. People compare the Russo Ukrainian war to ww1. but in reality it's so much deeper than that. No war ever in history has been fought the same way, as in ukraine (That's also why the war has transformed so much since the start). Nobody was prepared for this type of fighting, and nobody could've been prepared.
