For everyone confused, this is called breaking the berm and it’s not harmful at all but actually very helpful for the environment. It’s a creek and the water stays stagnant. The longer the water stays stagnant, the more bacteria and pollution levels in the water rise. Eventually, the water will reach the ocean naturally but the longer it sits the more harmful it could be to the ocean. breaking the berm=less pollution! Hope this calms y’all down🤓😝

Grew up frequenting this area ... this is a very regular and necessary occurrence for this beach also it happens naturally when it storms from rain run off this way it's directed to the ocean and no creep up the beach
