Baby Sa Ngae is growing into a handsome young bull, but he still isn’t ready to give up his mother’s milk! Now that he’s much taller, he has to crawl underneath Mommy Mho Jae every time he wants to nurse. And, as always, she patiently stands still, letting her little boy drink in peace. This simple moment reflects the beautiful bond between an elephant mother and her calf—a bond nature intended for every elephant. A calf needs more than milk; they need their mother’s warmth, protection, guidance, and the comfort of knowing she’s always there. When mothers and calves are allowed to stay together, young elephants grow into healthy, confident adults—both physically and emotionally. All elephant calves deserve the love of their mothers.
