Duct cleaning isn’t a scam you do it when you move In and generally once or twice every 10 years this is the airflow to ur house u gotta make sure it’s cleaned

My house was built in 1994. I had a thorough vents cleaning done when I moved in May of 2017 and the guy was like Yea, this house has never had this done. He pulled out 24 pounds of animal hair and dust! It was crazy! I strongly advise home owners to do this once you move in.

We got the vents cleaned in house we had just moved into bc everyone was having bad allergies.. there was tons of cat litter in the vents

cleaning ducts is not recommended because it kicks up more dust than if it were left alone. this isn't my opinion this is published fact.

We bought an old home and had this done after sanding down the wood floors. Best thing we ever did because it got rid of all the debris and also smelled so fresh after! Highly recommend after a remodel

Most duct cleaning is a scam because if done properly it would be so expensive you would be better off installing a new duct system to replace your old leaky outdated one anyway.

The only way to clean ductwork properly is to hook negative air up to the supply and return main trunk lines separately and clean the ducts with at least a steady 135psi of air from a compressor. This doesn't work. All this does is clean flex duct not the main trunk lines.

I work in hvac HEATING AND AC( for 5 years) in newer homes this isn’t necessary normally you get the vents cleaned once every 5-10 years once homes become lived in and duck dirt and debris build up, if you have animals like dogs that shed you may want it done more often ( all it does is clean out the system of any buildup of dust and debris build up which happens quicker with dogs or over time it’ll build up on the edges
