for anyone confused, SEE sign is the most common amongst the hearing because its our interpretation of sign language with our grammar. ASL is its own language with its own grammar

Thank you so much for explaining this!!! I too many hearing people on TikTok “learn asl” through songs and it’s literally just SEE. The assumption that our language is exactly the same as the English language is ridiculous😭😭

the coolest thing about ASL is it’s its own language. many words in english mean the same thing and a lot of words don’t have designated signs, ASL is a really efficient way to communicate the same sentiment compared to SEE.
