In the law firm I work at women aren’t allowed to have their shoulders visible as it’s considered unprofessional. The reason I have been given is because it looks too relaxed and too summer-ish and therefore not serious enough. On the other hand the men have to wear full suits in the office at all times, even in summer heat so I am not complaining about just covering my shoulders.
