In elementary school, after lunch we would be dismissed for recess and we would walk around the back side of a building and also next to the ending of the schools property where the school garden was. I am a girly girl so I wore little heels to school often. These little heels were sandals and had openings all along the side of my foot. Well one day, a little baby snake was in front of me and when I saw it I jumped a froze. It also jumped and struck at me. It hit right below my pink toe, but didn’t like tear any of my skin, I just had two little puncture wounds and a couple spots of 🩸. So I told my teacher, who sent me to the nurse, who called my mom, who told her to call an ambulance, then my mom and I went to the hospital because she wanted to make sure it wasn’t a poisonous baby snake (turned out not to be but good thing we checked), and the stupid hospital doctor told my mom I was lying. We went to an urgent care the next day and they said it was good to get the bite checked because they had been getting poisonous bites everyday multiple times a day for like two months straight because my area had a bad snake overpopulation problem that year.
