better safe than sorry 🫠 I’m fully aware this looks and sounds absolutely ridiculous, but I actually know numerous people that have been stranded with an inoperable vehicle because the rodents chomped their wires!! The primary culprits are marmots so whenever a trail mentions a marmots problem, that’s usually a good time to take this precaution lol There’s a few different ways you can protect your vehicle from them but we just chose the tarp method bc it seemed relatively quick and easy but I also read you can use chicken wire and just scent deterrents or just lifting your car hood (which idk if that one actually works) I just think this is the craziest thing but I’d rather do this than get stranded on a remote trailhead!! #Hiking #marmots #hikingtrail #trailhead #hikingtips
