We've been counting down to get our PJ's on every night and it's been a game changer for my 4 yr old son! He loves racing so I ask him what clothes he's going to put on, shirt, pants or underwear, then I say "on your marks get set go" them start counting and he gets dressed so fast! Most of the time I let him pick what the numbers are going to be, right now he likes me starting at 100 and counting down. This way he's getting to make his own choices and he gets dressed under 1 min. When I'm not in the mood to do this it takes 5 mins of us both struggling so it's really worth it to make it a game!

if my 4 years old want to keep sweatpants on a hot Day even after I warned her she'll regrets it, I let her sweatpant on and bring the short with us. Sometime I will let her "suffer" from her choice just a little hoping she'll remind it

I really really needed this advice. My four year-old is constantly fighting me and rebelling against me and it’s so easy for me to lose my patience while also taking care of my emotional two year-old. They love playing together, so I bet this advice might work on both of them at the same time!

Do you mind sharing some advice. The tantrums, meltdowns, throwing everything in sight, hitting and throwing. Parents definitely losing their patience and have gone to yelling and punishments. Need help as a first time Mom to a 3 year old boy.

my niece has been over a lot this summer and I've had to tell her sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do. And I was talking to her one day about how I didn't want to do my delivery job because of how much it was supposed to rain and she used my own words against me I laughed and did the job and that really helped to set that in. Side note she's 9 but this still works

I've also seen parents make charts for their kids that show the weather, and appropriate clothing for said weather, it's a great way for them to learn when and why certain clothing is appropriate. it's also interactive, so it's fun for kids as well!
