It does not matter why the US stopped firing at Iran, for the time being that is. The US has control over Iran's response. If Iran does not have a clear plan of its own how to liberate itself from US and Israeli attacks, it will continue to be under attack. If the US and Israel decides to strike Iran, Iran strikes. If they decide to stop, Iran stops. What nonsense is that? Whatever it is, it's not adding up to deterrence. Russia is doing exactly the same thing, and the situation is going on and on and on... A "tit for tat", "an eye for an eye", or a "blow for blow" is not how to eliminate a menace and dangerous threat.

If the Gulf states had finally told the Americans no, this war would have ended long ago. Instead they keep opening their doors, letting Washington plant its boots on their soil and turn their lands into launch pads to slaughter Iranian schoolgirls, volleyball players, doctors and teachers. Iran has now gone into unprecedented mode, methodically wiping out US bases and assets across the region. Every American facility that burns is one less iron claw sunk into the Gulf's neck. This is not Iran's fight alone- it is the Gulf states' chance to break free from the power that has treated them as disposable satrapies for decades. This must end b4 it bcomes WW3. The only way out is for the Gulf regimes to grow a real spine: throw every last American soldier and base off their territory, cut the logistics feeding attacks on Iran, and leave Washington and Tel Aviv to carry the full cost of their own aggression. Anything less keeps the Gulf chained and drags the entire region into open catastrophe.
