A simple way to remember it: • Fat is bright • Fluid is dark • Organs vary depending on their fluid and protein content • Protein-rich material and many types of hemorrhage can also appear bright Once you understand why tissues look the way they do, MRI becomes much easier to interpret. Thank you for this. I was thinking of going to X-ray or MRi tech school, but I was afraid I wouldn't understand anything. I always wondered how hard it was to read MRI images, this gave me more confidence to pursue this field.
