Biotene products are always what I recommend! I’m so curious to hear how the nausea scent sticks work for you!

Believe it or not, we used to give patients Sweet Tarts (the sour candy) to suck on to help nausea. Worked pretty well!

I dont have cancer, but I've been a patient in a chemo room for many years for a different condition. My best tip, is that on days where you just really dont want to be there, and its hard to make yourself go...bring donuts, or a snack for the staff/patients. You go from being miserable to being "special treat girl"...and it's hard to stay miserable while making everyone around you smile. 💜 so many hugs to you!

I cold capped and used the hand and feet ice packs. Since I was chilly from head to toe, I bought an electric throw blanket to cover the middle part of my body with. Don't be afraid to tell them what you need. IV Benadryl made me shake so I took two Benadryl capsules before infusions. I also took Xanax to help with the anxiety from cold capping. Find what works for you! 🙏💓

Chemo nurse here—if you ever have bone pain, keep Claritin in mind! It helps wonders especially if you have to take injections to boost white blood cells (like neupogen)

I liked to bring my own blanket, the infusions would make me chilly and my soft cozy blanket was nicer than the scratchy ones they had there. Also a BIG water bottle that you don’t mind tossing once chemo is over, I now have such an aversion to the bottle I was using

My mom started to bring something to suck on like a mint or lemon head candy during her port flushes before the chemo because she said it was a bad taste.

I tried to make all my chemo treatments fun. I baked cookies and bagged them up for the other patients and one time I painted all the women’s fingernails and made them feel good. Keeps your spirit up but everyone else’s too. ❤️🙏

Been a silent supporter forever but always thinking of you! I’ve always been super sensitive to mouth sores. If you end up with them, swishing your mouth with liquid antacids helps to soothe your mouth! All the love to you
