Yeah so killing Ozai in and of itself is not what stopped the war. All killing Ozai does is create a power vacuum at the top of the fire nation. What actually ended the war was Aang’s relationship with Zuko. Aang had someone who he could trust at the top of the fire nation to help him restore balance. It’s is unlikely that Korra (from S1 - S3 of TLOK) ever develops this bond with Zuko. Tbh if Korra is placed in Aang’s position Zuko probably dies in the blizzard during S1. Korra eventually kills Ozai. And Azula takes the throne and continues the war.

Korra only had 3 elements at around 17-18. Aang was 13 when he fought Ozai. If we put korra in Aangs situation she’s gone. She couldn’t learn air bending. She wouldn’t make nearly as many allies with her short temper and brashness, and she wouldn’t have barely mastered 2 elements max before she would have fought ozai. With her not even having fire because she learned that last and had just mastered it in ep 1, far after the comet.

If we we’re gonna have this conversation, it has to be korra at 12 years old and it cannot be her all grown-up in her 10 years because Ang fought the fire lord at 12 and defeated him so we cannot compare and say Korra would win but we’re using her at her grown-up age of like 17 or however, old choosing the show to fight him it needs to be her at 12 that’s how we need to compare it

Yes a 17 year old korra with 13 years of training with white lotus masters and an air bending master at her disposal is winning this. HOWEVER, if you somehow did take Korra at 12 years old and make her learn to bend from other teenagers, and she’s being hunted the whole time, she might be cooked. A big key part was aang’s spirituality and being able to use the avatar state to speak with previous avatars and use it at will later in the story. Korra couldn’t use that until she was 17 bc she wasn’t a good avatar, just a great bender. Summary: 12 year old Korra couldn’t, season 1 probably not, season 2 and after is an easy dub
