@___joyous: One thing I’ve noticed since being here is that a lot of young people who are Liberian have never actually been to Liberia. So, parents, if you’re Liberian and you’re raising your children here in the States, and you’re in a position to do so, please, I’m begging you, take your kids back to Liberia. Let them see where they come from. Yes, they know they’re Liberian, but there’s a difference between knowing where you’re from and actually experiencing it. Let them see the country. Let them meet the people. Let them experience the culture and see how people interact. I can tell that a lot of them genuinely want to go to Liberia, but for whatever reason, they haven’t had the opportunity. It doesn’t have to be every year. But if you’re in a position to, please take your children home.
