The biggest problem with Wiley Brooks’ claims is that he was repeatedly caught eating regular food. In 1983, investigators reportedly observed him buying hot dogs, Twinkies, and Slurpees. Instead of admitting he was wrong, he later argued that eating was still compatible with breatharianism and even claimed McDonald’s cheeseburgers and Diet Coke had special “5D” properties.
