Applebee's has been destroying IDs for years! Sometimes they literally cut them and/or refuse to give them back. 🙃 They almost destroyed mine when I lived in Virginia and had a Pennsylvania license until I became confrontational and told them I would happily call the cops and let officers explain that destroying valid identification is illegal. I was I think 24 when then, I'm 33 now and they're still on their bullshit.

I will tell you, Applebees’ training does NOT require us to inspect ID’s like that!! If we think the ID is invalid we just deny service! Also, if she did that AFTERWARDS she can still get in trouble because she served you alcohol without being sure. Idk much about law, but if you take this to civil court she did not follow protocol so she likely will be in SOME type of trouble
