Mine is remembering that nursing is continuity of care. On Sunday we change all of our drips & IV lines. I’m dayshift so I would come back from imaging, coordinating care, new patients to hurry and change the lines. Making myself behind on meds & tasks. When night shift could have done it. I’m trying to find a balance of understanding not everything is going to be done in 12 hours.

That was one of the challenges for me. Delegating we get three patients max and I always feel like I can do the vitals since I’m going in and assessing my patients anyway however, you never know what temperature you’ll get because if it’s 100.5 and up I have to do a whole Neutropenic fever work up so then I need help with the other two patients but I’m learning been doing it since March. Heme/Onc can get busy., the patients are really sick but I love it.

New grad in the ER, 2 months in almost and ahhhh is all I can say 😂😭 the pre shift anxiety and dread goes crazy. I’m getting there though ! Loved this video ❤️
