Coming from a daughter of a mother that decided to stay to keep the family ‘together’ and for me to grow up with my ‘dad’. I implore you PLEASE DON’T STAY!!!!!! This is your sign you need to leave this toxic relationship NOW!!!! It’s not worth it to give your daughter more trauma than you already have through your pregnancy. He is not going to change!!!!!!! It will get worse and the trauma your daughter will live with for the rest of her life is not worth it. I am older now with adult children and until this day I live with the trauma that man caused. That man never cared to have a relationship with his kids. He has 10 kids with 3 different women and he doesn’t have a relationship with anyone. I haven’t spoken to him in decades and he never cared to even meet his grandchildren. Despite years of therapy I still live with the trauma from my childhood. The cheating, the domestic violence, the emotional abuse will not get better and it will get worse because he knows you won’t leave and unfortunately you will be setting an example for your daughter to think it’s normal to be treated that way. My mom raised us as a married SINGLE mother. He isolated her from the world and made us live hell on earth. No child should beg their mother as a child to leave. If he doesn’t care to take care of you during pregnancy imagine how much worse it will be after the baby is born. SAVE YOUR DAUGHTER’S FUTURE NOW!!! MEJOR SOLA QUE MAL ACOMPAÑADA!!!!! I hope this message gets to her and I am able to get through. One last piece of advice, don’t get involved with another man right away. Get therapy for yourself and work on yourself first and focus on yourself and daughter. You have to learn to love yourself first before you can get into another relationship. Remember, the way your partner treats you is a reflection of how much you love and value yourself. I promise you will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Children will stay scarred if you stay it’s more traumatic seeing & living in all the toxicity between two parents living in the same home. Protect your child’s peace. Show them that’s not the way to live. We all don’t want our children to grow up without their fathers, but sometimes it’s for the best. Lead by example you don’t want your son to act in their father‘s footsteps and you don’t want your daughter to think it’s ok for men to treat her that way. Break the chain.

Es mejor estar sola que mal acompañada amiga. I stayed with my bd thinking he would change a month after I had my daughter he left us and claimed his mom needed him more than we did (stepdad passed away a 6days after having my daughter) you can try to make it work but si el no le nace de hacerlo let him go it’s easier said than done but trust me your baby needs a happy mom and not see or hear the problems.

Girl leave! Woman always think we can fix them and change them. They are who they are period. If he doesn’t respect you, he won’t in the future. Being a mommy is a beautiful blessing. Your baby is your baby your blessing. Why would you want a him in your child’s life. He obviously is not a good person, mandalo chingar a su madre!
