She told her husband she'd slipped into the galley and was filling pitchers with boiling water, working alongside other crew and passengers preparing to fight back. As the call ended, she told him everyone was running toward first class.

Sandy Bradshaw spent her last minutes turning hot water into the only weapon she had. She never got the chance to use it.
