Christianity and all conservative environments are built around glorification of suffering and it's comfortable because you can be lazy and mediocre as you want and you will (on paper) deserve all the wealth, opportunities and anything you want without doing anything for it. it doesn't have to become a reality, just the idea. that's why they praise on billionaires; just look at christian nationalism, see how they look, all what they have is being white.
