Oh hell naw - I was TERRIFIED of my grandma! I watched that woman get irritated at my dad & brother for dithering, then she bear hugged a 1980’s fridge & moved it herself. I watched her snatch a guy I was dating by the front of his shirt & rip him to shreds for being disrespectful to me. She’d also beat ya ass while chain smoking her Marlboro Red.

My great grandmothers were both born in 1911. One was a coal miners wife who took on the mine boss over work conditions. The other, worked for the feds and took on the railroad for dumping trash on our land. I’ve seen both those 4’10” women go toe to toe with 6’+ men and not back down.
