I'm from germany. Our politicians are being paid a lot of money and they are still incredibly corrupt. Particularly members of the CDU or AFD party. I think paying them good isn't the only answer. There needs to be oversight as to who profits from what policies and how each politician was or wasn't involved. Also, if there is a scandal they need to experience actual consequences. Alas both are not happening in germany, hence we have things like the "Maskenaffäre" by Jens Spahn.

I think politicians get paid really well as is politician shouldn’t be able to buy stocks . And they shouldn’t be able to accept money from donors. That whole system is ridiculous.
