However bad you think your loose skin or stretch marks will be after you lose the weight, I promise carrying around the extra 100lbs+ is worse. I have loose skin and I have stretch marks, I lost an extreme amount of weight and my body looks nothing like someone who’s never been overweight. But I still wouldn’t go back… not for a single day. The body I was living in before was stopping me from doing literally everything and no amount of “smooth skin” would have been worth staying there. The loose skin doesn’t stop me from living my life and the stretch marks don’t stop me from living my life. But for me at 330lbs, I physically couldn’t do the things I wanted to be doing. I was out of breath, I was hiding in photos, I was saying no to things I actually wanted to say yes to. If the fear of loose skin is what’s keeping you stuck I just want you to know that staying the same would have been so much worse for me than worrying about what my body might look like on the other side. Your body is going to change in ways you can’t prepare for and some of it will be hard. But every single version of me after losing the weight has felt more like me than the one I was stuck in before. Don’t let the fear of stretch marks and loose skin keep you from meeting the version of you that’s waiting on the other side🫶🏻
