I lived in Hesperia 19 years and did the commute up and down the cajon pass , as a retired truck driver picking up at docks in Long Beach etc , id ask alot of other drivers if they delivered up the cajon pass to high desert and all the independent drivers said " Nope ain't worth the Gas or wear and tear on there truck especially in dead summer heat bumper to bumper traffic " High desert has alot of unincorporated land to offer but there's a good reason why you don't see alot of big commercial companies investing in it . I hope this works out for the high desert residents who can get a job closer to home but on the flip side for the others still commuting you may possibly see alot more broken down 18 wheelers on that cajon pass adding to a more even worse commute home . Just my .02 cents 🙏🙏
