What parents like her don’t realize is… no contact adult kids usually expect to receive nothing in the will. Because we are used to that kind of selfish behavior from the parent(s) we left. It’s nothing new. It was a part of our calculations. I honestly would be completely surprised if I’m left anything in my dad’s will.

My dad cut my sister out his will because they fought before he died and left it all to me. After funeral costs and the lot I split the rest with my sister. 😎

In Sweden you can’t take your child out of your will. You’re entitled to a certain amount of the inheritance from your parents even if you have no contact at all Not sure how much but if you have siblings you divide that. However parents can give away certain things that are worth a certain amount. So you can give one child more but you can’t take them out completely. As a child you can decline to get the money if you want but not vice versa
