Okay, a lot of you have been asking me this...
Okay, a lot of you have been asking me this... "Amanda, if it took you 3 years to become consistently profitable... does that mean it's going to take me 3 years too?" And honestly? I think the better question is WHY it took me 3 years. Because I spent a huge chunk of those 3 years completely overwhelmed. When I started, I joined a trading community that was teaching probably 50 different strategies. And at first I thought... "This is amazing. I have SO much to learn." Except that was exactly the problem. There was SO much information that I had no idea what I was actually supposed to focus on. One person was teaching one strategy. Someone else was trading completely differently. I'd try one thing. Then see someone doing something else and think maybe THAT was what I needed. There was no consistency in how I was learning. And because of that, there was no consistency in how I was trading either. I wasn't spending 3 years mastering one system... I was spending a lot of that time trying to figure out which system I should even master! Eventually, I stripped everything back and built a simple, rules-based system I could repeat over and over. And that's probably the biggest difference I see inside our community now. My students aren't spending their first few years sorting through 50 different strategies trying to figure out which direction to go. They're all learning the same simple system. The same rules. The same process. So instead of constantly wondering... "Should I try this strategy?" "Maybe I need another indicator?" "What is everyone else doing?" They can actually spend that time practicing ONE thing and getting better at it. And honestly, that's exactly what I wish I'd had when I started. It took me years to simplify everything down and figure out what actually mattered. Now I get to watch other women start with the simplicity it took me years to find 🤍
