I went the first time to Anime Matsuri last year, but I went alone though, so I don’t know, it was kinda whelming. DreamCon last year was cool, but I had went on a Sunday. Next year Im gonna get the three day pass though for DreamCon

dream con is so amazing but also keep in mind its purpose is for the black community to thrive and see success with each other through their passions and hobbies so the key is keeping that in mind and respecting their space being guests.

Tokyo X is the way to go. Matsuri has been getting cancelled for years now. A lot of the general public has no knowledge of the drama tho.

dreamcon was very fun and massively packed compared to matsuri, that being said the vibes are more dynamic instead of anime-focused with a lot of streamers/content creators/out of state attendees so different vibes than old school cons

honestly it was peak like 3-5 years ago when the crowd was larger and the party vibes were high. but the past 2 years its crashed pretty hard snd I don't see it recovering. Might check out Tokyo X or Delta H con next year instead

There was no car show!? That’s crazy and when I went on Saturday, no outside food festival and was kinda dead. Only positive I would say is them moving the game space on the 2nd floor. Probably gonna go to Tokyo x and delta h for now on

I recommend Delta H con, it’s a smaller anime gaming con and there’s hella cosplayers and cute panels + amazing vendors! Really easy to navigate. Used to go back in 2010-2014 and recently started attending it again 😋

It was very lack laster unfortunately. I don’t think I will be returning 🥲 I’ve been going for 5 years. A lot of the vendors were the same but had cute stuff but nothing I “had to have”.
