He's almost as intelligent as Reed Richards and can work miracles with a box of scrap. On top of that, he's been Spider-Man for four years and works at Delmar's (or maybe he's juggling two jobs while also being Spider-Man). He invests the money he earns into his Spider-Man activities and doesn't really have any extra expenses. Like I said, for the past four years he's basically had no personal life—he's living by the "Peter Parker No More" philosophy. Also, in that universe, since a supervillain shows up almost every day to wreck New York City, rent is probably pretty cheap.
