Like the moment you put Farage against someone that doesn't suck then suddenly he's losing.....

Reform might not get in? Victory is ours? ‘Ours’ meaning anyone but reform?

it's canada again. They spent too much money and too much time making the former leader the enemy and now that leader is gone. * They have no way to make the new leader the enemy when the new leader doesn't have a fully realized public perception to attack.

You are all too harsh on Keir I liked him. Nationalising rail, raising minimum wage, infrastructure and green energy bills, new nuclear, wind and solar, good foreign policy etc. I’m 19 and he was easily the best PM in my lifetime

Let’s wait for new manager bounce to finish. Burnham is super popular because he’s new. Every PM gets a big boost. Let’s see when it’s 7 months in and he’s facing some sort of scandal (inevitable) and he can’t give people what they want. If Labour were confident this lasts, they’d rush to an election.

Exactly the same as Justin Trudeau's resignation and Pierre Poilievre's free fall after the election of Mark Carney. Considering the UK's history I don't give him very long but hopefully he is better than Starmer

No, it’s not. Burnham is getting a bounce from the far right media in order to convince him to call a GE. The minute that happens Burnham will start getting the Starmer treatment.

Hope the Burnham honeymoon lasts minimum of 18 months, as 24 months will be huge milestone.

I think the thing that makes Farage even more weak, is the Starmer was unpopular, but there was very little he actually fell short on. He was a boring man but in terms of policy, no one had a massive grudge. Lifelong conservative voters didn’t like him, but we’re more than happy for him to stick around for the term. Now you have a prime minister that broadly towing the same political line, is acting on policy principles that Starmer would’ve brought in, that is doing so in a way that is so much more constructive. Burnham understands messaging storm understood technical correctness but the people don’t care for technical correctness.

This is the Canada play: went from Trudeau to Carney and destroyed a populist leader once the leader was changed.
