@darcies_story: Darcie has the patience of a saint. 🦋 She’s actually had a pretty good week. She’s been much more herself, chatting away, smiling, and filling our days with her lovely little personality. 💛 The biggest challenge at the moment has been the blisters on her hands. With EB, we have to carefully lance (drain) the blisters because if they’re left to fill with fluid, they continue to spread and can cause even more damage to the fragile skin. Draining them helps relieve the pressure, limits how big they become, and gives them the best chance to heal. As hard as it is, Darcie sits so patiently and puts so much trust in us while we care for her. We know it isn’t pleasant, but she rarely complains and somehow still finds a smile afterwards. Her strength and resilience never stop amazing us. 💙 We’re doing everything we can to keep her comfortable and keep those hand blisters under control. One day at a time, one dressing change at a time. 🦋 Thank you for following our journey and for all the love and support you continue to show our brave little girl.
