Someone asked me if I would ever consider getting married again and I told her absolutely. Then I spoke about being able to handle conflict and she fell apart, and axed herself from the process. Her wise 80yr old relative closed her eyes and gently shook her head... eventually she leaned over to me and sighed and said, "She's been hurt. There's no talking to her." I let the woman remove herself from the equation. If I want a relationship with a woman, I am not going to let a problem come between us, yet, I am also not going to let a problem take up its home with us. We either learn how to work together to repair the relationship (no matter who is at fault or there's no point in even starting.)
