@hoglezoo: Necks-level news! 🦒   Our giraffe herd has grown from six to seven! Stephanie welcomed a healthy female calf on July 20. She already stands 6 feet tall, weighs 159 pounds, and has been exploring her surroundings with plenty of curious energy, including a few playful zoomies.  The calf was born with an umbilical hernia that isn’t causing complications. Our animal health and care teams are monitoring her closely, and she'll have surgery to repair it in the coming weeks. Overall, the calf is healthy and is nursing, digesting, and moving normally!   You may see the calf in the winter yard, located behind The Eccles Express Train Station, this summer. 🧡 Stay tuned for more long-legged updates!   #utahshoglezoo #hoglezoo
