i had ovarian torsion when I was 13,l kept the pain for so long until it started giving me sleepless nights,my parent noticed the pain l felt whenever I want to sleep,I was taken to the hospital for scan and they discovered l was having ovarian torsion.the nurse was so pissed at my mom for not discovering it early bcuz I was already having swollen under belly,I also stopped seeing my period for almost a year.it was operated two days after bcuz the nurse said I couldn't keep it any longer, I'm so grateful l survived it and I'm good and healthy, I'm 20 years old now

I feel that anytime someone comes in and complain about pain they should immediately draw blood, do xray, ultrasound, and CT scan. if there is nothing showing a MRI should be mandatory all in the same visit. took over 10 years of living in agonizing pain and several doctors and specialist for me to find out the problem. also I suffere with severe endometriosis which spreaded to my lungs took 2 years of having a period in my lungs severe chest pain shortness of breath and several doctors before it was found i considered ending my life at one point.

I lost my right ovary in 2015 . It had a nerf football sized tumor/cyst and the first 4 times I woke up I was screaming bloody murder to put me back asleep because the cyst ruptured and leaked into my body. Before I knew what it was I spent the three years prior to that under scolding, hot water showers and having doctors dismissed me in the ER when I was in pain so bad I would gasp for air. my body felt like it was on fire, and my cyst would leak. It got missed because they wouldn’t scan me because I was a teenager with no insurance.

In 2012, a nurse laughed at me and mocked me crying and screaming. I was discharged without a diagnosis. A year later the episode happened again and I went to a different hospital. I was immediately taken into emergency surgery. I later learned my right tube was in eight knots and had to be removed. My doctor stated she wish I came to her hospital when it first happened because she more than likely could have saved my right tube.

Yeah when my daughter was ten and they tried to tell me she had a stomach bug and she was on the floor on pain. They wanted to send her home I said no run a scan because I’m not leaving with Just Tylenol.
