The call gained national attention because Albuquerque Fire Department dispatcher Matthew Sanchez repeatedly questioned Quintero as she became increasingly panicked and emotional. Overwhelmed by the situation, she began shouting and using profanity. In response, Sanchez told her to “deal with it yourself” before ending the call.
