@edsautoglass: Ever wonder how a rock chip is actually repaired? We start by cleaning the damaged area and removing any loose debris or trapped air. Then, using specialized equipment, we injecting a clear resin deep into the damaged glass. Once the resin has fully filled the chip, it's cured with UV light to harden it, and the surface is polished smooth. While a repair won't make the damage disappear completely, it restores much of the windshield's strength, improves visibility, and helps stop the chip from spreading into a crack. Your first cycle should be vacuum then your second should be injection. The entire point is to evacuate the air trapped inside the crack. This could’ve filled better if you vacuumed as your first cycle instead of forcing resin first and having the air travel through a viscous liquid in hopes it all evacuates

I used the Rain-X UV repair kit to fill in about a 1 foot long crack that worked pretty well. I still see the whole crack, however.
