@adivunsolicited: Black on black crime isn’t a thing that’s plagued just one group, white on white crime is also an issue within the white community, so why has this been weaponized against us for decades? In 1960 Black leaders coined “Black-on-Black crime” to hold our own communities accountable. 1986: the government stole it, weaponized it, and used it to justify over policing and the “war on drugs” a sentencing law that punished crack 100x harder than powder cocaine the same year a college basketball star died from the drug they went easy on. Watch how a phrase built for self-reflection became the blueprint for mass incarceration. #BlackTikTok #BlackHistory #prison #crime #warondrugs
Number one. Once it’s been said by a non-black person, it runs rented as truth. Secondly, I remember Ronald Reagan‘s drug campaign. It scared me to never use drugs.

What you also inadvertently point out is that the criminalization of black Americans became a deliberate government policy that was used to funnel people into the growing, and increasingly profitable, prison-industrial complex. And the statistics still bear this out. More black Americans are in prison than their percentage of the population. That is not true of the white population. And it's not because white people commit less crimes.

Black people are jailed for crimes. Then the cops and DA build a case around that person. Doesn’t matter if they lie to pin it on the black people. Then they hand these fairytales to a jury, mostly or all white, and boom, they’re guilty. Our “justice” system is a joke.

Also the police never swarm college dorms on Friday and Saturday night, even though, everyone knows there’s rampant drug use and underage drinking! But, the majority are yt kids.
