I know first hand how absolutely necessary these steroids are and all the side effects make life even more challenging, but know the drive to live for your loved ones wins every time. I understand the high steroid side effects all too well! If it were only the moon face, but there’s so many other psychological effects. The uncontrolled emotions, blood sugar is elevated to that of a diabetic, facial hair, I could even remember obsessive compulsive behaviors like having to check for my keys 100 times before I left. I just remember not feeling like I belonged anywhere. I am sending so much support your way because not only do you have to fight this, you have to fight the medication side effects that make you not wanna fight.

Steroids are SO hard! I was on them for months and I didn’t recognize myself in the mirror anymore. My BIL got married at the height of that treatment and the family pictures are so hard for me to look at still 10 years later

My mom had to take steroids for her brain cancer and she was beautiful like you. But be aware it does damage your thigh muscles, stay as active as you can to keep your leg strength. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
