Thankfully, it rained in Canada again a while ago and it was the second time after the wildfires. Hopefully it also rained in areas where the wildfires are active and the rainwater was enough to extinguish the fires

En 1983, ejecutivos de la empresa estadounidense Hasbro descubrieron estos juguetes en una feria internacional y decidieron adquirir los derechos para lanzarlos en América, pero sabían que necesitaban una buena historia de fondo para venderlos con éxito. Fue entonces cuando se aliaron con la editorial Marvel Comics, donde el editor Bob Budiansky se encargó de estructurar casi toda la mitología que hoy conocemos, inventando nombres icónicos como Optimus Prime y definiendo el conflicto eterno entre los heroicos Autobots y los malvados Decepticons. Para el año 1984 se estrenó la mítica serie animada conocida como Generación 1 junto a una exitosa línea de cómics, desatando una verdadera fiebre mundial. El éxito de la franquicia fue tan abrumador que en 1986 se lanzó una película animada en los cines donde Hasbro, con la intención de retirar del mercado los juguetes de la primera ola para introducir una nueva línea, decidió matar de forma dramática a Optimus Prime, lo que provocó un trauma infantil colectivo tan grande y tal cantidad de cartas de protesta de padres indignados que la compañía se vio obligada a resucitar al líder de los Autobots poco tiempo después. A mediados de los años noventa, cuando la popularidad de la marca comenzaba a decaer, la franquicia logró reinventarse por completo con el lanzamiento de Beast Wars en 1996, una serie que sustituyó los vehículos por animales salvajes y prehistóricos utilizando animación digital en tres dimensiones; aunque al principio los fanáticos más tradicionales rechazaron la idea, su excelente desarrollo de personajes y guion la convirtieron en una de las etapas más aclamadas de la saga.
