As long as you stay silent and agree with everything they say, you’re considered humble. The moment you hold up a mirror to their actions and expose their hypocrisy, you’re suddenly labeled rude, arrogant, or difficult. Some people spend more time protecting their image than improving their character. They expect respect while refusing to show it, demand honesty while living behind masks, and preach kindness while judging everyone around them. They are comfortable with beautiful lies but uncomfortable with uncomfortable truths. I don’t claim to be perfect. I have flaws like everyone else. But I’d rather be criticized for speaking the truth than praised for pretending.
