you can still paint the benches blue but have white accents like the tablecloth, pillows and the rug. these ground the room and reflect the white ceiling blue benches would genuinely eat

hear me out you can add a beam arch on the ceiling to separate the room from the kitchen and then you can colour drench the ceiling and benches blue! ( i used Chatgpt to give you a visual)

You should think about adding some crown molding or trim of some sort to help tie in the white ceiling and blue wall. It might help with that feeling

What if you put up some molding on the ceiling and paint those blue or inside of the molding area blue! It’d tie everything in, help build separation between rooms and add visual interest!
