The court erred. Irreparable damage was not against Partey but against Ghana National Team. The argument was to be that if he doesn’t play, Ghana will be negatively prejudiced. Besides being on trial does not mean convicted. He has not been convicted. Presumption of innocence is a standard constitutional principle world wide. If this was a European national team and their player was similarly circumstanced to Partey, that player would have been allowed entry.
