My only theory that keeps me from going insane about the lack of women is that their characters are so peak that they have to keep them a secret because it will be so fun to see them back in the films. But it most likely is sexism 😭

Half the problem is the women aren’t being written well. DC has similar issues. Star Wars also dealt with this in the newer movies.

And yet there is a CRAZY amount of hate targeted at Hayley Atwell who will probably be in the film for 2 minutes… I’m so sick of the misogyny within the fandom and tbh I’m mad at marvel for this sudden turn. It’s clear they’re not making as much money anymore, so they simply started to cater to the straight white men again….

its so tiring, i was such a huge fan of the mcu as a teenager but became heavilyy disillusioned after age of ultron because of how they treated natasha and the other female characters. it became so clear they didnt care about them beyond furthering the male characters story arcs
