The entrance ramp isn't an entrance ramp, its a launch ramp. Its easier to speed up or brake at highway speeds

They did what they were supposed to do though... they are required to yield to traffic already on the roadway. If they can't match the speed of flowing traffic and merge seamlessly without making the traffic speed up or slow down to accommodate them, then they must stop until it's clear for them to merge...

What are you talking about? He has to yield. Flashing your lights, it just means you're warning him you're there. That driver did exactly what he's supposed to do. Yield! And you complain.

Right lane is supposed to be the merge lane/slower vehicles. If anyone had any sense of drivers etiquette (if open) you’d get over into the left lane, while not losing speed, and allow them to merge then move back over when clear.
