During the event, two Muslim women had chosen to follow Christ—an outcome that reportedly angered a local imam, who is said to have threatened the pastor afterward. Later that evening, shortly after speaking on a local radio station, Pastor Mulongo was ambushed and killed while traveling by motorcycle; his friend escaped to raise the alarm. Though the imam has been named as a suspect, no arrests have yet been made. The pastor leaves behind a wife and two young children, and his family is calling for full justice. This tragedy reminds us that many believers still face severe danger for sharing their faith—yet the Gospel continues to advance even through persecution.
