my son is 8 and reading is such a struggle for him and it makes him feel bad. But he LOVES audiobooks! he has done all magic tree house and working his way through percy Jackson. if audiobooks help people enjoy reading then great ❤️

I had never listened to an audio book until this year because everyone said Lights Out by Navessa Allen was best in audio books form. and not I'm obsessed with audio books and the convince of them.

Totally agree on ALL counts👏👏.....and someone saying audiobooks do not count is like saying the visually impaired are not reading a book when they listen or read with Braille. Reading is fundamentally about engaging with the text, absorbing information, and experiencing a story, regardless of whether you're using your eyes, ears, or fingertips.📚🎧🥰

What I like about the library is all of what you said and it saves you from having to unhaul a book that you did not like. You can be pickier about your home library. Book trophies are great and you can re-read!

Thank you for these 5 things. I totally agree! Also… From a former reading teacher, as long as you read in front of your child, you are normalizing reading. AND! No matter what they read (i.e. comic strips in the newspaper), if it is printed in some way, shape, or form (even audio), it is reading. Don’t discourage it!
